Cancelled but rescheduled for May 7th! I gave up my spot sadly. I was hired for a guide trip so I chose that instead and am going to let Aaron take the win. Also, I knew the next in line on the waiting list so I told my friend and now he has a shot to compete against some great anglers from around the region! Aaron hauled 6 hours north to scout out the competition waters and found it to be a bit snowy so it made sense to have the competition rescheduled.
Aaron headed up to Wyoming and competed in some incredibly snowy weather and cold conditions! After a great competition, lots of lessons were learned and Aaron commented back to me that the competition had a complex variety of water types. It goes to show that no matter where a competition is held, it pays dividends to be a well rounded angler who can fish all types of rivers and succeed in each type.
